Brin Gin – Slovenian Craft Gin

Brin Gin is a multi-award-winning Slovenian London Dry gin, handcrafted in small batches in Rodik, where the Karst meets the Brkini hills. Created by Distillery Brin (Erik Šarkić), it is known for its clear juniper character, dry style and balanced herbal and citrus notes.

An authentic Slovenian craft gin

Brin Gin was the first Slovenian craft gin. Its story grows from the local tradition of distilling juniper spirits and from the landscape of southwestern Slovenia. The gin is distilled in a small still using carefully selected botanicals. As a true London Dry gin, no flavourings or sugar are added after distillation; only water is used to bring it to 43% ABV.

International awards

Brin Gin has received recognition at several international competitions:

• The Gin Guide Awards 2018: the highest-scoring European gin outside the UK in the Traditional Gin category and a High Scorer in that category.
• IWSC 2019: Silver medal with 90 points in the London Dry Gin, 43% category.
• IWSC 2019 Spirits Packaging Winner: recognition for Brin Gin’s distinctive bottle and paper-wrap presentation.

Taste and serving

Juniper leads the aroma and flavour, supported by subtle herbal, floral and citrus notes. The finish is clean, refreshing and dry. Serve Brin Gin with plenty of ice and a quality tonic, finished with lemon or grapefruit peel. Its dry profile also works well in a Martini, Negroni or Collins.
